Chennedy Carter Over 20.5 Points (-115)
Betnijah-Laney Hamilton is set to miss time for the third straight game with a knee injury. Without the services of their most tenacious defender, New York becomes a completely different defense.
Chennedy Carter scored 22 points on Thursday against the Liberty; 14 points were scored in the first half. The Chicago guard has put up at least 21 points or more in the last 6-of-8 games, with an average of 22.3 points.
Carter is relentless at attacking the rim. Considering New York is down such an intricate piece to their defense, those attacks will not be met with much resistance from the Liberty guards.
Jonquel Jones Over 15.5 Points (-120)
The Liberty forward may find herself in a very fortunate situation if Breanna Stewart does officially miss this contest with a hamstring issue.
Jonquel Jones scored 18 points against Chicago on Thursday. The Sky simply had no answer for the Liberty forward in the paint, as the team seemed to be defenseless against the sheer power and skill of the seven-season veteran.
Chicago is currently allowing over 37 points in the paint per game, 11.9 points off second-chance opportunities, and 14.7 points off of turnovers.
If Breanna Stewart does miss this game, this becomes a smash play. Stay tuned for the rebound line to post closer to tip-off as well.
Odyssey Simms Over 14.5 Points (-115)
Odyssey Simms has been a much-needed gift for the struggling Dallas Wings. Since her arrival, she has contributed over 15 points and 5.1 assists per game to the offense.
The matchup today is one where Simms can continue the surge in points that has transpired over the last two contests. The Dallas guard has scored 44 points in the previous two games on 57.8% shooting from the field.
Los Angeles is allowing the third-most points in the league (85.4), the second-most three-pointers (8.5), and the opposition is shooting 46.7% from the field.
Simms has also connected on eight three-pointers in the last two games. Considering the high field-goal percentage, three-point volume, and opponent, this looks like a fantastic spot for the recently acquired guard.
Rickea Jackson Over 11.5 Points (-105)
The Los Angeles forward gets a favorable matchup against a Dallas team who have not faired too well in regards to stopping the opposition from scoring.
Dallas holds the worst defensive rating in the WNBA. They also allow the most points per game, allow the opponents to connect on 46.7% of field goal attempts, and concede 18.7 points each contest on turnovers alone.
Rickea Jackson will be coming off a bad performance, only scoring six points in 24 minutes of action against Minnesota. In the four games before that, she averaged 15.5 points, with nine three-pointers.
Dearica Hamby Over 18.5 Points (-125)
Similar to her teammate, Dearica Hamby looks to be in a fantastic spot going up against a very generous defense.
It was reported yesterday that Li Yueru’s contract would be temporarily suspended due to her commitments overseas. This leaves the Sparks devoid of any notable backup options for Hamby. It’s highly possible she could play an entire game, barring any injury or foul trouble.
The Los Angeles forward is averaging 19 points on the season. However, she has scored 20 points or more in the last 4-of-6 games. The last time these teams met on May 26, she scored 19 points on 46.7% shooting.
Dallas is currently giving up the most points in the paint (40.7) per contest, with 11.7 points off second-chance opportunities as well. There’s simply too much to like here to pass up on.
Enjoy the games today, and good luck with your picks!
