Former NFL offensive tackle Gosder Cherilus found himself at the center of a highly disruptive incident on his way to Dublin.

According to reports Gosder Cherilus, the former first-round NFL draft pick, boarded the flight in a visibly intoxicated state. Midway through the journey, Cherilus’ behavior took a shocking turn. He allegedly urinated on an elderly passenger seated nearby and then assaulted another individual who tried to intervene. Witnesses reported that Cherilus was argumentative with the flight crew regarding his seat before his behavior spiraled out of control .
In response to the escalating situation, the flight crew decided to divert the plane back to Boston Logan International Airport. Upon landing, Cherilus reportedly became uncooperative with law enforcement, forcing four state troopers to restrain and remove him from the aircraft .
Legal consequences and fallout for Gosder Cherilus
Cherilus was arraigned in East Boston District Court, where he faced charges of disorderly conduct and interfering with the operation of an aircraft. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on $2,500 bail. The court has scheduled a follow-up hearing for October 2024, where further legal proceedings will take place .
