College Football Week 3 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks: Washington vs. Michigan State

We’re through two weeks of the college football season, and the way it sits right now, I’m 4-2 on my touchdown prop bets on the year. We’re through two weeks of the college football season, and the way it sits right now, I’m 4-2 on my touchdown prop bets on the year. I’ve used Notre Dame running back Audric Estime on back-to-back weeks, but I’m going to fade him this week. Not because I don’t like the matchup but just because I want to show some love to other players who have had strong starts to the season. Even though I love having a running back touchdown prop on my bet slip, I’m going to go all wide receivers this week due to some intriguing passing attacks. Let’s jump into my favorite touchdown scorers for week 3 of college football, specifically looking at Washington vs. Michigan State .

College Football Week 3 Anytime Touchdown Scorer Picks: Washington vs. Michigan State

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Washington vs. Michigan State

The Michigan State defense has only given up two red zone touchdowns this year. Both of them came through the air. With that, they’re facing one of the best red zone offenses in the country with the Washington Huskies. Of the 12 red zone attempts that Washington has had, they’ve scored 11 times. Six of those times were passing touchdowns.

With Michael Penix Jr., under center for the Huskies, they’ve become one of the better offenses in the country. In addition to Penix being able to sling it, he’s got two legit weapons at wide receiver with Jalen McMillan and Rome Odunze. That said, this Washington offense could score just about anywhere on the field, it doesn’t have to just be in the red-zone.

With news and attention being directed toward Michigan State head coach Mel Tucker being suspended for allegations made by Brenda Tracy, I think this team could be distracted. Meanwhile, I’ve watched the Spartans every weekend as a fan, and I’m just not a fan of their defense or defensive coordinator, Scottie Hazleton. I don’t think this game will be particularly close, but I do believe that Jalen McMillan can and will add to the season touchdown total. He’s already got three touchdowns, and I think we could see him score at least once in this game.

Bet: Jalen McMillan over 0.5 receiving touchdowns (-165)
