Denver Nuggets @ Miami Heat
The Miami Heat have dropped three consecutive games heading into this one. The first two were against the Mavericks and Thunder, but the most recent loss to Washington, at home, wasn’t good.
The Heat have struggled on the offensive end over the last few games. They’ve been inconsistent on the offensive glass, rarely get to the foul line and haven’t shot a good, effective field goal percentage lately. The Heat are still without Tyler Herro and might not even have Jimmy Butler tonight.
On the other hand, the Nuggets have been clicking on all cylinders offensively. Denver scored 142 points against the Utah Jazz and followed that up with 125 points against the Raptors. They’ve been the opposite of the Heat. The Nuggets are looking great offensively but struggling defensively.
The Heat will win plenty of offensive rebounds and should get some quality looks from the floor. Still, it’s hard to trust this Heat team right now. They’ve scored no more than 108 points in each of their last three games. That won’t be enough against Denver, even at home.
Let’s back the Nuggets at -4.5.
Bet: Nuggets -4.5 (-110)

Nashville Predators @ Winnipeg Jets
The NHL action gets underway with a Central Division tilt between the Predators and Jets. Winnipeg is currently second in the division (87 points), while Nashville is fourth (78 points). Puck drop is set for 7:30 p.m. ET from the Canada Life Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
My initial thought was that we’d get a total of 6.0 goals for this divisional matchup. I liked the Over at that number, so to get a 5.5-goal total has me pretty fired up. Both of these teams have been on a roll recently, and they’re each receiving a ton of offensive contributions.
The Preds are riding a 12-game point streak, where they’re 10-0-2 in their last 12 games. They’re averaging 4.1 goals per game over the 12-game sample size. As for the Jets, they’re 8-3-0 in their last 11 contests, putting up 3.4 goals per game during the stretch. Typically, you’d probably lean under for a matchup between these two squads, but with the offenses trending upward, I’m loving the over tonight in Winnipeg.
Bet: Over 5.5 Total Goals (-120)

Lehigh vs. Colgate (Patriot League Tournament Championship)
Attempting to get the auto-bid out of the Patriot League, Lehigh and Colgate face off in their conference tournament final with an NCAA Tournament bid on the line. Colgate sits around a seven-point favorite with a total of roughly 136.
I don’t want to seem unexcited about a conference championship game; that would be ridiculous. Still, I’m honestly a little surprised by this spread. Colgate is the flat-out better team, and they showed that in the Patriot League regular season, going 16-2 while sweeping Lehigh. Braeden Smith has been awesome at point, with Keegan Records holding down the frontcourt.
One of Colgate’s biggest flaws is their inability to rebound misses. Ranking in the bottom 300 of the country in offensive rebound rate, when the shots aren’t falling, there isn’t much of a backup plan. The thing is, Lehigh is even worse and also a much worse shooting team. Colgate’s offense may not be as electric as it has been in the past, but they still knock down 3s and play solid defense.
Lehigh ranks outside the top 300 in 3-point defense, so there’s a chance Colgate runs the table with the perimeter looks they will get. Lehigh barely eeked out an overtime win to get here in the first place, and I imagine Colgate will clean up well.
Play: Colgate -6.5 (-110)
