ToggleAfter giving Milwaukee its first championship since the early 1970’s, Giannis has been on a tear. It started with the champagne and cigars in the locker room, but it didn’t end there. Just hours later the Greek posted a live Instagram ordering not 49, not 51 but a 50 piece nugget from Chik-fil-a after dropping 50 points in the NBA Finals close out game against the Phoenix Suns.
He has enamored the basketball world, the sports world, and most of all the city of Milwaukee. The scrawny kid who came from overseas and made Wisconsin his home has once again deepened the love affair between him and the his home town.
Giannis is the Brewers newest part owner
Giannis has just purchased a stake of the Milwaukee Bucks, trying him even closer to the city he has called home since getting drafted in 2013.
Donning a No. 34 Brewers jersey Antetokounmpo said, “This is a dream come true for a kid from Sepolia, Athens, Greece, born from immigrant parents. I could have never imagined I would be in this position.”

Never forgetting his roots, the two time MVP sounded as humble as ever after singing a Supermax contract extension in December with the only team he’s ever known said “Milwaukee made me who I am today, It made me a better person. This is basically my home. I’ve become a father here. I’ve become a leader here. I’ve become a champion here, and I want to be involved.”
Giannis’ first thought of ownership in a sports team came last year when the Bucks were in the the NBA Bubble. Being form Europe, naturally his first inclination was to link up with a European soccer team, but perhaps his first day in Milwaukee came into play when making the decision. “I can tell you when I was introduced to baseball. I was 18. It was the first day I came to Milwaukee. I came to a game. But I know Christian Yelich. I know he’s a great player” recalled the Greek.
